Sample Collection: Using a special cervical brush (like the YGR brush), cells are collected and placed into our preservation solution to prevent drying, distortion, or loss.
Sample Processing: In the lab, blood, mucus, and other impurities are removed by centrifugation, filtration, or settling. Our cell filters and automated equipment then prepare a uniform, thin layer of cells for microscope examination.
Staining & Analysis: Using our Pap stain or other solutions, slides are prepared for pathologists to examine the cells under a microscope and detect any precancerous or cancerous changes.
