Prevention First, Life Above All – Fire Drill Report

YUGOMED’s 2024 Annual Fire Safety Awareness Campaign

To enhance employees’ ability to respond to unexpected safety incidents, standardize and strengthen the company’s fire safety management, and prevent and reduce the harm caused by fires, the company conducted a fire safety training and drill activity themed “Building Fire Safety Together, Preventing Risks Before They Ignite.”

Before the drill, a theoretical training session was conducted. The company’s safety management team explained the severe dangers of fire, potential fire hazards and self-inspection methods, as well as the specific use cases and proper operation of standard firefighting equipment. This theoretical learning helped raise safety awareness among all employees.

Prior to the drill, the company made thorough preparations by developing a detailed drill plan. Special arrangements were made for the evacuation exercise, with clear assignment of responsibilities. Evacuation methods and routes were carefully studied, and detailed escape routes and assembly points were planned for each department to ensure every employee clearly understood their roles and duties.

When the alarm sounded during the drill, under the organization and guidance of company management, employees quickly and orderly evacuated their workstations to designated safe areas. The entire process was conducted efficiently and in an orderly manner, achieving the intended objectives.

After studying the theoretical knowledge and practicing the escape drills, the hands-on drill session began. Before the drill, the fire safety instructor first explained the importance of fire safety, how to use fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, and key precautions. The instructor then demonstrated simulated firefighting in several steps, including locating the fire source and extinguishing the flames.

Once the demonstrations of various firefighting methods were complete, several employees were invited on-site to try using the fire extinguishers themselves. Afterwards, the instructor gave a detailed explanation and demonstration on how to handle and operate fire hydrants. Multiple employees also had the opportunity to practice using the fire hydrants, ensuring that everyone gained practical experience and benefits from this training activity.

the fire drill site, security personnel and staff from the service unit reviewed and refreshed their knowledge of fire extinguishing and evacuation procedures. They then took turns practicing the use of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants. By emphasizing hands-on firefighting drills, the goal was to repeatedly practice simple actions and perform every drill with care. This repetition helps build habitual thinking and muscle memory, enabling calm and effective responses in the event of a real fire emergency, thus preventing disasters before they happen.
