YGR® Handled Nylon bristle Cytology Cervical Brush

Intended Use:

This cervical sampling brush is used for:

• Collecting epithelial cell samples from the cervical transformation zone.
• Supporting accurate screening for cervical cancer, HPV infection, and precancerous lesions.
• Providing high-quality cell specimens for liquid-based cytology and related diagnostic methods.

Instructions for Use:

1.Preparation:

• Open the sterile packaging immediately before use.
• Wear sterile gloves and ensure all instruments are properly prepared.

• Position the patient in the lithotomy position.
• Insert a vaginal speculum to fully expose the cervix.

• Gently insert the brush into the cervical canal so that the bristles contact both the endocervix and ectocervix.
• Rotate the brush 360–720 degrees (typically 3–5 full turns) in a single direction to collect cells.

4.Sample Transfer:

• Immediately transfer the collected specimen into a vial containing a liquid-based cytology medium (e.g., for TCT or HPV test), following laboratory protocol.
• Rinse the brush by swirling it vigorously in the vial 10–15 times or as per local guidelines.

• Dispose of the brush and packaging in a medical waste container according to clinical waste regulations.
